Manifesto base
On each house the feminist manifesto has been written. Not only showing text along with an image and then combining to an object but this was another way to inform the viewer and to show it was made by a woman.
This started with the first manifesto I wrote on a tea towel. It was demanding but also the truth. This was a turning point within my work from the payslips, They still link in elements but I started to question a woman's role and how forgiving society actually is in 2018.
I wanted to carry on with this as it has started to make people talk and question the work and why I'm highlighting an issue that is supposed to be sorted. IF YOU THINK THAT YOU'RE VERY VERY WRONG.
I also wanted to show objectification within an object especially a household item. So what better way than to show this aspect of labour and routine.
